Who Must Increase?
on February 1, 2006 on 3:28 am | In UncategorizedJohn 3:30 , “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
John the Baptist realized a vital lesson concerning Christ. He learned that it is Christ Jesus Who must be put first and not ourselves. Sadly, many Christians nowadays have a “me first” mentality. They want to put themselves first; their thoughts, their goals, their desires come before what God says and what God wants. This ought not to be so, though. Look at it this way: Who should logically take precedence–Almighty God or dust? Man was formed from the dust of the ground by God Almighty; why should He not have preeminence in our lives? “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
